In my spare time I like to go out into nature with my camera..

I prefer photographing mammals. Birds I photographed were usually because of a good opportunity.

I prefer photographing early in the morning shortly after sunrise. Especially in the summer it is not always easy to get out of bed that early, but the beautiful light and silence in nature make it work well.

Photographing early morning has the advantage that there are not that many people in nature as there are a few hours before sunset.

Because I always visit locations close to home the diversity of mammals I encounter is not that big. It is mainly limited to a roe deer, red fox and wild boar. I often visit areas managed by Brabants landschap and Staatsbosbeheer.
Besides getting up early, patience is also a challenge. Waiting for wildlife to pass my camera.
